I'm just a little critical...

When it comes to movies. But of late, I have been pleased by the movies of the past two weeks.

Ocean's 11 was last week's film, and it got a solid thumbs up from me. By no means the best movie ever, it still managed to be a highly entertaining film, well put together, with an excellent cast. Brad Pitt's nose is infamously hard to sculpt out of clay, but he's still a hottie. Worthy of at least one viewing...and don't get up before you're supposed to ^_~

It's a different matter with Vanilla Sky. It's a good film, though not up to the point of displacing any top films from my list, heh. Still, I would recommend it. If anyone remembers the episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation called "Frame of Mind", seeing this movie will give you distinct parallels in its delivery, but for very different reasons. And it has a soundtrack to die for...I was freaked out when they played a certain song that just 10 minutes before I'd thought, "Wow, that would be cool in this movie, but they'll never play it." Freaked me out, but it was cool. And if you're not a fan of either Cruise, Cruz or Diaz (I dislike the last one greatly), don't worry about it, they won't be what you expect, and don't let them deter you from seeing the film.

This self-made critic will return after next Wed., when I have seen Lord of the Rings. Mwhahahahaha! I'm gonna see it before you are! WOO! I mean, I'll give you my opinion after I've seen it ^_^

Now, just the finals...just the finals...
