update--ended up longer than i thought
i've been doing some really nice collages lately. moved away from text for the time being and am working with pictures/color schemes. my equation for good collages lately has been:

vogue + smithsonian = awesome

i wish i could upload some of these pictures, maybe i'll have a chance soon. planning on finally getting an apartment this week, we'll see how it works out. once there, internet capability will be one of the top priorities (who needs food, right?).

seems right now like we're living in very loosely controlled chaos. i'm waiting to hear back from the AEON people about getting an interview for a job teaching English in Japan. they said they would contact me within a month and a half, and on June 12th it will have been a month. so we'll see. if they don't accept me, i'll have to wait until sept. to apply for JET. i may give the NYC office a call or email if i don't hear anything soon.

i've got a job at the casino if i want it, taking reservations, but i'm still looking around for something that might pay a little more. every little bit helps. my parents and relatives were pretty generous with graduation money, so at least the first month and security on an apartment will be doable. again, we'll see.

anyone who wants to just think positively for us, it would be a great help. that's all i really want from anyone right now. thoughts, prayers, wishes, positive energies, however you think about it, please have one or two for brandon and i. i really appreciate it. much love to you all.
Mood: chaotic

i've heard mixed reviews of AEON...some people have a good time, others feel the company essentially abandons them after the first day of their job. I've heard uniformly good things about JET, however.

yeah, i would prefer JET, but it just doesn't leave soon enough. as long as AEON provides me with the week of training they say they do and a place to live, i think i'll manage okay. it's possible the experience people have with it is dictated by their level of comfort with Japan, but who knows. i'm just ready to go already! if they say no though, hopefully JET will say yes.

"(who needs food, right?)"

Just get some chickens, a male and female cow, a garden, orange tree, grape vines...

Become self sustaining. ;)
