Eddie and I made a day of it, after I had the chance to sleep in and miss church (Mom let me sleep in after prom...it was very very good). We went for lunch, did a little shopping, saw Pearl Harbor, watched the sunset, got some dinner, cleaned his closet, and fell asleep at his house. I even got a shirt out of the deal ^_^. A gray, ARMY hoodie...seems I have a thing for gray shirts, as this is the fourth one of that color I've gotten from various people over the years.
Pearl Harbor is not the best movie I've ever seen, by any means. Still, I thought it was a film worth going to see. It should have been 2 hours instead of 3, that's my biggest gripe, and the fact it glorified war, I hate that. I'd like to have seen the international release of the film, that lessens the amount of war related material and focuses just on the love story. It's a movie set to the backdrop of Pearl Harbor, not a movie about Pearl Harbor. Still, I admit I cried. A film that if you see it, you won't be sorry, but you might want to wait til it comes out on video if you have qualms about spending inordinate amounts of cash. Not a must see, but a good flick.
I can't remember the last time I had so much fun on a Sunday. I can't wait until graduation...maybe I'll get to stay out on a few more of them then.
