This is your shadow on my wall...
Now, while I have looked very hard, and tried many different artists and albums, I still have yet to find a better CD for cleaning house than David Bowie's "Outside". Second is The Beatles' "Magical Mystery Tour" (which I use in vinyl form when I'm at home rather than the dorm) and third is Radiohead's "The Bends".

What do you all use when you clean?
Mood: Cleaning (about to start)
Music: David Bowie - Outside

well, in your case, maybe clean isn't the right word...re-arrange? straighten up? no...damn, you got me.

TALKING HEADS! all talking heads. hehe. "Take me to the river" is super inspiring for cleaning.

david bowie - changesbowie

various artists - grosse point blank soundtrack
the cure - galore
the smiths - best of cd 1
paul simon - graceland
peter gabriel - best of/ 16 greatest Hits

heh. mostly uppity music with a little bit of melancholy heartbreak. heh.

You clean to Outside? See for me, Outside requires far to much attention to do something else while I listen to it. I like to listen to hip-hop while I clean. Been mostly Prince Paul stuff lately.

Well, I sing along, and that requires an intensity I then channel into the cleaning process.

well for like me and radiohead: yeah the music does require attention but i like to trance out and not pay attention to cleaning. and nothing puts me into that state better than radiohead.

Yeah, the idea is not to clean TO the music, but rather to listen to the music and forget that you are in fact cleaning.

gee howd i know you think the same way?
Mellenabsentmammoth on January 25th, 2004 01:55 pm (UTC)
Because I'm addicted to the same drug as you are ^_~
S0n of N00n: Here's what -I- think happened...bibble on January 25th, 2004 02:01 pm (UTC)
i think ive decided that it can't be considered a "drug". if you cant built a tolerance to it, it aint no "drug".

S0n of N00nbibble on January 25th, 2004 08:00 pm (UTC)

if not it's not a drug!

I typically use either DKX (digital cable music channel) or one of the earlier mix CDs I ever made.

(Which, it might be worth pointing out, contains "we prick you" toward the end)
