Brandon tells me the following:

The computer says "Verifying DMI pool data" (sometimes it says "success" sometimes it says nothing) then goes straight to "Boot from CD" then it says "Disk boot failure, insert system disk" even though he doesn't have boot from CD on. It should boot right from the hd, because that's what he's set it to do. He believes this is because it's not reading the drive properly as master.

The CD thing is probably just the board trying to find *something* else to boot of off. Wouldn't worry about it.

He could try booting off a XP install disk or Linux distro-on-a-disk (like Knoppix) and see what they say about the hard drive (for instance—is it there at all?).
