i'm good!

No one likes being wrong...unless it means the movie was good...

I didn't realize going to the video store with two very cool people would lead to such a dilemma.

After dinner at Chili's, Brandon, his brother Dan, Stephen, and Tara and I head over to Blockbuster to get a movie.

As it turns out, Tara and Brandon have completely adverse tastes in movies. COMPLETELY. I can't even count the number of times one of them said "I loved that movie" only to hear the other say "Ugh, I hated it." Getting them to agree, I saw, would be nearly impossible.

Finally, I said "We're getting Memento, I haven't seen it, and it's supposed to be really good." Somehow, I managed to trick them all into it. When we got home, the complaining wasn't finished. Brandon was the only one who'd seen it already, but he'd wanted to see something new. Tara and Stephen were like "Why did we get this? We didn't want this!" I turned on the movie regardless.

A couple hours later, they were all glad I'd chosen it. Brandon had forgotten how good it really was, and the other two were as thouroughly impressed the first time around as I was.

And the moral of this story? Always listen to me. And see Memento.
