It's scary...

A frightening movie will keep us awake all night, but a frightening bill proposal or threat of war does little to keep many disturbed very long. People seem to react only to certain hyper-sensationalized terror, when we are living in a country swearing a "war on terrorism". We all fall for it, perhaps because we're waiting for the scary music to cue us into our engagement. Many of us feel more attached to the scenes flashing in front of our eyes than to the world in which we live. I'm equally as guilty...I think many of us, at one time or another are. That's truly terrifying.

Not to say that a good scare movie is a bad thing. I think it's nice to be entertained by being afraid. I just hope we eventually see that it's not all meant to be entertaining. Life is only a horror movie if we let it become one.
